Anyone in the world By: William J. Federer
Rome fell Sept. 4, 476. In the centuries preceding, Rome was overrun with immigrants: Visigoths, Franks, Anglos, Saxons, Ostrogoths, Burgundians, Lombards and Vandals. They first assimilated, many working as servants, but then came so fast they did not learn the Latin language. Worldwide military conflicts strained the highly trained Roman legions. Rome had centuries-old government bureaucracies. Rome had a trade deficit, having outsourced its grain production to North Africa. When Vandals finished "vandalizing" the Roman Empire, they crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and captured the grain fields of North Africa, cutting off Rome's resources. Attila the Hun, called the "Scourge of God," committed terrorist attacks. Callinicus wrote in the "Life of Saint Hypatius" (c. A.D. 450): "The Huns ... became so great that more than a hundred cities were captured. ... So many murders and blood-lettings that the dead could not be numbered. Ay, for they took captive the churches and monasteries and slew the monks and maidens in great numbers." Exorbitant taxes were needed to fund Rome's military campaigns and welfare programs. The entire city of Rome was on welfare with citizens given free bread. One Roman commented: "Those who live at the expense of the public funds are more numerous than those who provide them." Tax collectors were "more terrible than the enemy." Demanding "bread and circuses," Romans distracted themselves with violent entertainment of gladiators in the Coliseum. There was exposure of unwanted infants, infidelity, sexual immorality continuing from the times of Pompeii and homosexuality in Roman bath houses and gymnasiums ("gymn" is the Greek word for naked). Time-Life's "Great Ages of Man: Barbarian Europe, "1968, states: " ... in the causal brutality of its public spectacles, in a rampant immorality that even Christianity could not check." Fifth-century historian Salvian wrote: "The Goths lie, but are chaste; the Franks lie, but are generous; the Saxons are savage in cruelty ... but are admirable in chastity. ... What hope can there be for the Romans when the barbarians are more pure than they?" Salvian continued: "O Roman people … be ashamed of your lives. Almost no cities are free of evil dens. ... Let nobody think otherwise. The vices of our bad lives have alone conquered us." In the midst of this cultural decline, Patrick was born in the Roman province of Britain sometime between A.D. 387 and A.D. 415. He was not a leprechaun, an elf, nor full of blarney. He did not drink green beer or wear a "Kiss me, I'm Irish" pin, but what he did was more notable than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. While a teenager, Patrick's community was left unguarded as Roman legions were withdrawn to defend Rome. Unprotected, Britain was attacked by raiders who carried away thousands. Patrick was captured and sold as a slave in Ireland, which was ruled by Druids. The Druids, from whom Halloween originated, believed forests were inhabited by spirits which needed to be appeased. These were passed down as elves and leprechauns. In "How the Irish Saved Civilization," Thomas Cahill wrote that the Druids: "sacrificed prisoners of war to the war gods and newborns to the harvest gods. … They displayed proudly the heads of their enemies in their temples and on their palisades; they even hung them from their belts as ornaments, used them as footballs in victory celebrations, and were fond of employing skull tops as ceremonial drinking bowls. They also sculpted heads – both shrunken, decapitated heads." For six years, Patrick was a slave, herding animals for his Druid master, Milchu. He wrote in his "Confession:" "But after I came to Ireland, every day I had to tend sheep. … The love of God and His fear came to me more and more. … In a single day, I would say as many as a hundred prayers, and almost as many in the night, and this even when I was staying in the woods and on the mountains; and I used to get up for prayer before daylight, through snow, through frost, through rain." Patrick continued: "And there the Lord opened the sense of my unbelief that I might at last remember my sins and be converted with all my heart to the Lord my God … who comforted me as would a father his son." Then Patrick wrote: "One night I heard in my sleep a voice saying to me: 'It is well that you fast; soon you will go to your own country.' And again, after a short while, I heard a voice saying to me: 'See, your ship is ready.' And it was not near, but at a distance of perhaps two hundred miles. … I took to flight, and I left the man with whom I had stayed for six years. And I went in the strength of God." Most likely, Patrick fled to Killala Bay or Westport where he found a small ship carrying wolfhounds to Europe. Tossed in a storm, they shipwrecked in southern France. Patrick met St. Germain (A.D. 380-448) who discipled him and brought him back to Britain. When Patrick was about 40 years old, he had a dream calling him back to Ireland. He wrote in his "Confession": "In the depth of the night, I saw a man named Victoricus coming as if from Ireland, with innumerable letters, and he gave me one, and while I was reading I thought I heard the voice of those near the western sea call out: 'Please, holy boy, come and walk among us again.' Their cry pierced my very heart, and I could read no more, and so I awoke." Patrick returned to Ireland, confronted the Druids, converted chieftains and used the three-leaf clover to teach the Trinity. A dozen times Patrick faced life-threatening situations, writing in his "Confession": "They laid hands on me and my companions, and on that day they eagerly wished to kill me; but my time had not yet come. ... they put us in irons and on the fourteenth day the Lord delivered me. ... Daily I expect murder, fraud, or captivity, or whatever it may be; but I fear none of these things because of the promises of heaven." Baptizing 120,000 and founding 300 churches, he wrote: "Patrick the sinner, an unlearned man to be sure. None should ever say that it was my ignorance that accomplished any small thing; it was the gift of God." World Book Encyclopedia wrote that Patrick "found Ireland all heathen and left it all Christian." Saint Patrick died March 17, around A.D. 461. The century following his death, Irish missionaries went to Britain to evangelize the Scots and Picts. An Irish missionary named Columbanus (A.D. 543-615) traveled Europe and evangelized the tribes which overran the Roman Empire, founding nearly 100 monasteries as far south as Italy. More than a thousand years later, Scot-Irish Protestants and Irish Catholics fled the British Empire for American colonies to gain political and religious freedom. During the Great Irish Potato Famine, 1845-1850, millions of poor Irish immigrated to the United States, with so many dying of dysentery, typhus and malnutrition during the six-week passage that their overcrowded ships were called "coffin ships." These mostly uneducated Catholic immigrants lived in slum tenements which bred disease, resulting in the deaths of 80 percent of infants born to Irish immigrants in New York City. The Irish were so discriminated against that a common saying was, "The Negro is black outside; the Irishman is black inside." The Chicago Post wrote, "The Irish fill our prisons, our poor houses ... Putting them on a boat and sending them home would end crime in this country." Five Catholic churches were burned in Philadelphia and businesses posted signs "No Irish need apply." Parades served a purpose. Whereas the British monarchy did not grant equal status to Irish, no matter how large their population was, in America the Saint Patrick's Day Parades in Boston and New York turned out thousands, resulting in politicians taking note. This, along with their willingness to assimilate, their work ethic and their volunteering to fight in the nation's wars, increased respect for Irish and raised their political standing. The 2000 U.S. Census reported 30 million Americans, or 10.8 percent of the population, claim Irish ancestry. This is the nation's largest ancestry group after German (15.2 percent), followed by African-American (8.8 percent) and English (8.7 percent). Ten U.S. presidents had Irish ancestors: Andrew Jackson, James Polk, James Buchanan, Ulysses Grant, William McKinley, Woodrow Wilson, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. But on St. Patrick's Day, everybody is Irish. Erin go braugh! (Ireland forever!) |

Anyone in the world Ah, it will soon be here! Halloween. It's a big day for many. I looked forward to it when I was a child. But that was before I met Jesus. I learned there were much better things to celebrate. I went off to Bible institute to study. When I read church history, I learned that it was on that date that Martin Luther nailed to the door (which was proper academic etiquette) of the Castle Church in Wittenberg his 95 theses concerning issues with the established Church. Many look at that day as the birth of the Protestant Reformation. That's something good to celebrate. There's also the fall atmosphere to enjoy. There are some churches here where I live that offer activities for youth based on a fall theme. For us at our church, we commemorate the Protestant Reformation. We usually feature a person who was instrumental for taking a stand for Jesus from the early years of the true Church to the early years of the Protestant Reformation. I think Halloween ought to go. Encourage your church to focus on an alternative that honors the abundant life offered to us in Christ.
God bless, Pete Macinta

Anyone in the world The following article was published on 9/7/07 at this URL.
By BILL KACZOR, Associated Press Writer Fri Sep 7, 3:30 AM ET TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - As a seventh-grader, Kelsey-Anne Hizer was getting mostly D\'s and F\'s and felt the teachers at her Ocala middle school were not giving her the help she needed. But after switching to a virtual school for eighth grade, Kelsey-Anne is receiving more individual attention and making A\'s and B\'s. She\'s also enthusiastic about learning, even though she has never been in the same room as her teachers. Kelsey-Anne became part of a growing national trend when she transferred to Orlando-based Florida Virtual School. Students get their lessons online and communicate with their teachers and each other through chat rooms, e-mail, telephone and instant messaging. \"It\'s more one-on-one than regular school,\" Kelsey-Anne said. \"It\'s more they\'re there; they\'re listening.\" Virtual learning is becoming ubiquitous at colleges and universities but remains in its infancy at the elementary and secondary level, where skeptics have questioned its cost and effect on children\'s socialization. However, virtual schools are growing fast — at an annual rate of about 25 percent. There are 25 statewide or state-led programs and more than 170 virtual charter schools across the nation, according to the North American Council for Online Learning. Estimates of elementary and secondary students taking virtual classes range from 500,000 to 1 million nationally compared to total public school enrollment of about 50 million. Online learning is used as an alternative for summer school and for students who need remedial help, are disabled, being home schooled or suspended for behavioral problems. It also can help avoid overcrowding in traditional classrooms and provide courses that local schools, often rural or inner-city, do not offer. Advocates say those niche functions are fine, but that virtual learning has almost unlimited potential. Many envision a blending of virtual and traditional learning. \"We hope that it becomes just another piece of our public schools\' day rather than still this thing over here that we\'re all trying to figure out,\" said Julie Young, Florida Virtual\'s president and CEO. Florida Virtual is one of the nation\'s oldest and largest online schools, with more than 55,000 students in Florida and around the world, most of them part-time. Its motto is \"Any Time, Any Place, Any Path, Any Pace.\" Struggling students such as Kelsey-Anne, who suffers from attention deficit disorder, can take more time to finish courses while those who are gifted can go at a faster speed. Casey Hutcheson, 17, finished English and geometry online in the time it would have taken to complete just one of those courses at his regular high school in Tallahassee. \"I like working by myself because of no distractions, and I can go at my own pace rather than going at the teacher\'s pace,\" he said. For all its potential, virtual schooling has its critics and skeptics. \"There is something to be said for having kids in a social situation learning how to interact in society,\" said state Rep. Shelley Vana. \"I don\'t think you get that if you\'re at home.\" But virtual students get a different kind of social experience that is just as valuable, said Susan Patrick, president and CEO of the North American Council for Online Learning in Vienna, Va. \"We should socialize them for the world that they live in,\" she said, suggesting that people spend much of their time interacting via computer these days. Many policymakers approach virtual learning with dollar signs in their eyes, expecting big savings from schools that do not need buildings, buses and other traditional infrastructure. \"We should not, as stewards of public money, be automatically paying the same or even close to the same amount of money for a virtual school day as we pay for a conventional school day,\" said Florida Senate Education Committee Chairman Don Gaetz. Florida Virtual this year is slated to get $6,682 for every full-time equivalent student, just slightly less than the average of $7,306 for all of the state\'s public schools. Young said her school has expenses that traditional schools do not. \"Our data infrastructure is our building,\" she said. Teacher unions have opposed spending public dollars on some virtual schools, mainly those that are privately operated or function as charter schools. Indiana lawmakers this year refused to fund virtual charter schools. Opponents argued they are unproven and would have siphoned millions of dollars from traditional public schools. Florida Virtual\'s Young said she plans to recommend that her state follow the example of Michigan, which passed a requirement that students complete some type of online experience to earn a high school diploma. If \"we do not give them an opportunity to take an online course, we\'re doing them a tremendous disservice,\" she said. \"It\'s become the way of the world.\" ___ |

Anyone in the world Overcome Depression
By Pete Macinta
Part 1 - Abbreviated from a four part series at... http://petemacinta.bravehost.com/dep.html where you will be able to find more information on this subject and related topics.
What would you say if you were offered a completely fresh start with
your life, and at least reverse the cycle of depression and get it to
the point where you hardly ever have to fight it again? Wouldn\'t it be
great for God to \"reset your settings\" and give you strength to live a
far more productive life. It would mean that your sin nature would have
to be removed and, of course, be replaced by a \"clean slate\" (like a
blank HTML). You\'d almost have to change places with someone. Well you
can! It has all been set up for you, waiting for you to wholeheartedly
agree to it. You can trade places with . . .
Jesus Of Nazareth
Note I said Jesus of Nazareth. The Word of God terms Jesus as the
second man. Adam, our ancestor, the first man sinned, and therefore
every one of us is messed up. God saw our plight, veiled Himself in our
flesh, and became the second man. The word of God is very clear - Jesus
was tempted in all points, just like were are, yet He did not sin.
\"But\", you might say, \"Jesus was God! He could not, would not sin!\"
Please read carefully, Philippians 2:5 - 11. You will see that Jesus
did not choose to operate according to His divine nature, but chose to
operate according to His human nature being led by the Holy Spirit,
which, when conceived by the virgin Mary, His flesh was of the same
sort that Adam had BEFORE Adam fell into sin (hence the term \"second
man\"). With this choice, Jesus HAD to be directed by the Holy Spirit
just as we MUST be directed by the Holy Spirit. He remained God, but
willfully, lovingly, decided to operate in the human manner.
OR . . .\"But,\" you might say, \"Things are not the same today as they
were back then! There were no drugs, no TV, no cigarettes, no Internet,
etc!\" Don\'t be fooled! Though these specific things (except for the
drugs ) did not exist, similar things existed. Although the main
temptation of Jesus is mentioned as the temptation in the wilderness,
the passage indicates that satan left Jesus alone \"for a season\". Rest
assured Jesus was tempted with similar things we face today. There was
no TV, radio, or Internet, but there were plenty of opportunities to
take in indecent, immoral activities, or activities that would distract
Jesus from advancing the Kingdom of God. As far as drugs and cigarettes
(same thing), drugs did exist in various forms. Jesus was offered a
sedative on the cross but He refused.
Jesus is the main cure. He
lovingly desires to take your human nature and give you His human
nature in return, fully equipped with His victorious life. He will not
force this upon you. You must really want it.
If you really want this, you are ready for the Great Physician, the
Cure Himself. Grant it, you can become healthier without a direct
connection to Jesus, but the direct connection makes it more sure that
you will be delivered from depression and other things. Above all, a
direct connection with Jesus guarantees that if you stick with Him, you
will not be sent to hell, you inherit eternal life in heaven.
Would you please trust Jesus now? He is ready to take your, sin nature,
sins, depression, along with other mental difficulties, and give you
His victorious life. Please pray this prayer, meaning it from the
depths of your heart:
Father, forgive me for being a
sinner. I ask you to cleanse my heart and make a new creature. Take
away this heavy depression. I love you God. I ask Jesus into my heart
to be my Savior and Lord. Thank you Father for sending Jesus into my
heart. I love you. Amen
If you have prayed this prayer, and meant it, you are now a child of
God. Please see some steps in the right direction located at the link
at the top of this post.
IF YOU HAVE ACCPTED JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, PLEASE \"RESET\" YOUR OWN BEING AT THIS TIME IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
>>>YOUR HEART♥:
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, PUT JESUS FIRST! Have Him make the decisions.
Look to Him as your Shepherd (Psa. 23:1), as the one you love the most.
Your primary and ultimate loyalty must be resting in Jesus.
>>>YOUR MIND:
Focus, focus, focus, - upon God. One way to do this is to personally
worship God. Do not wait to get to church. The next time you feel the
heaviness start to come on, worship God. Force yourself to do that. Say
something like, \"I love You Jesus, I glorify Your precious Name. You
alone are righteous and holy.\" etc
>>> YOUR SOUL:
Adjust Your Attitude- Begin to place your mind daily on the eternal
aspects of life - your salvation, the salvation of your family and
others, helping those in need. Moses is a very good example. At first,
he did not want to go back to Egypt to be God\'s agent to set Israel
free from Egyptian slavery. After they were released, he complained
repeatedly before God about carting these million or so people around
in the wilderness UNTIL, he got some shock therapy. God was angry at
the Israelis at one point and was about to destroy them. While in
prayer, Moses cried out to God, begging God not to blot out the Jews
for His Namesake. He offered himself to God to be blotted out. Exactly
the thought pattern and desires that God was looking to develop in
Moses! God then fashioned Moses into the man God wanted him to be.
Ask God to help you develop the same desires that God Himself
has. You will never be truly happy until you do this. You can pray
something like this:
Father, I love You. Please help me to want only the things you would
want. I thank you for meeting my needs. Please help me to know the
difference between my needs and my wants. I know I need to love You
more and more. Help me to do so, in the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
>>> YOUR BODY:
1Cor.6:19-20-\"Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy
Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? YOU ARE NOT
YOUR OWN: YOU WERE BOUGHT AT A PRICE. Therefore honor God with your
body.\"
Indeed, we do not belong to ourselves. If you do not like that thought,
then realize if you do not or did not receive Christ, you belong to
Satan. I know it does not seem that way if a person is unsaved. That is
because Satan wants you to think that you are in control when, in
reality, he is in control.
So relax in Jesus. I was on \"cloud 9\" for many weeks after being saved.
I pictured Jesus as the Shepherd, and I and other Christians as lambs
and sheep. I considered Him, and still do, my Lover (in a GOOD sense),
and Friend. I love my wife and children, but I love Jesus first and
most. This is the only way to stay saved.
WHAT ABOUT GENETIC TENDENCIES TOWARD DEPRESSION??? - Isaiah 53:4 - 5
says that we are healed by the stripes (from the whipping He took) on
Jesus\' back
Additional Rx #1
Remember,
you are a spirit. You are created in the image of God. You are
primarily a spirit creature, and, as a result, you will respond to the
unseen spiritual realm, whether it be good or bad. Let\'s talk about the
bad stuff first, and save the good stuff for our desert!
Satan, and his demons, are spirit creatures too. That\'s a beginning for them to bug us. They do so basically in four ways:
TEMPTATION
Everyone faces this. Remember that it is not a sin to be tempted, but
it is a sin to give in to the temptation. Yielding to sin worsens
depression. Read 1 John 1:9 if you yield to sin, and follow the
directions there. Do not be discouraged. As you love Jesus and walk in
Him, you will sin less and less. God understands. He calls us His
children if we are saved. When a child comes into the world, it
struggles and struggles to learn how to walk. The child may fall down
many times, but he picks himself back up. The spiritual walk is
completely new to all of us. Go easy on yourself. Seek the forgiveness
of God and keep on going!
OBSESSION
Sometimes we really like certain sinful activities. We can become
hooked on them. This can happen to anyone, whether they are saved or
not. If you have this problem, this too will worsen your depression.
Here\'s what to do:
Be honest with yourself and with God. Then ask Him to help you to love
Him more and to hate your sin. If you do not want that, ask God to help
you to want that. All sin is destructive, but Jesus gives us life, real
life!
You must begin to draw near to God. As you draw near to God, and resist
satan, satan will flee from you (James 4:7). Further help will be given
below.
OPPRESSION
A little different in that you may not have directly asked to be
pestered. Again, it happens to Christians and non-Christians alike.
Yet, it may indicate that Satan some how has found a weakness in your
being that he can \"yank\" you around with. This can also deal with
obsession. It is like you have a slavery yoke around your neck. We
become the Devil\'s \"pet\". He\'ll take you for a walk where you should
not go for a walk. At times, or many times, satan will yank you around
quite a bit.
WHAT TO DO???- Again, draw near to God. Force yourself to take the
action below. Also, plead the blood of Jesus over yourself. If you
really are a Christian, GET MAD AT SATAN AND REBUKE HIM BUT ONLY IN THE
NAME OF JESUS. Never speak to Satan unless you definitely have Jesus
dwelling within you.
POSSESION
*, **, *** are footnotes for either clarification or avoiding unnecessary email queries.
Despite what some teach, if Christ really lives in you, a Christian
cannot be possessed. Just because it seems that a sin is controlling
you, this does not mean you are possessed. Demon possession in the
Bible is always described as bizarre and out of control. There is
absolutely no example in the Bible of a Christian being possessed. If
you feel that you are possessed,* then by all means go to a Bible
believing minister for deliverance, but once you are delivered, you
must accept Christ as your Savior.
If you feel that someone you know is possessed, then (1) fast** and
pray before attempting to do something directly, making sure of your
own stance in Christ.(2) Secure Godly advice from a Bible believing
minister. (3) Develop compassion for the victim. (4) Develop hatred for
Satan, and (5) only upon definite leading from God cast out the demons
in a secure setting (only mature, solid Christians around***).
DO
NOT STOP HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A VICTIM OF OBSESSION, OPPRESION,
OR POSSESION, OR YOU REPEATEDLY YIELD TO TEMPTATION. SCROLL DOWN.
* You may wonder if someone is demon possessed, then how are they able
to seek help. Scripture indicates that in certain cases, sometimes
demon possessed people through their spirit seek help. Paul was
pestered by one lady who followed them at one point in his ministry.
Outwardly, she was a mess, inwardly she hungered for help.
**Fasting is a vital tool for every Christian. As God permits, I might
address this topic on a page at this site. For now, do not think that
if you have hardly ever fasted before, and you are confronted with a
case of demon possession, that if you fast a meal or two you can go out
and whip demons. And, if you are new to this, and have not fasted
before, do not think that you can do 40 days at a snap. Don\'t even try
it! AND DO NOT ATEMPT FASTING WITHOUT WATER FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS,
AND AT THAT, UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A MATURE MINISTER OR FELLOW
CHRISTIAN.
***This may sound like I am contradicting myself on my initial
statement that a Christian cannot be demon possessed. I maintain that A
REAL CHRISTIAN cannot
be possessed. I also believe a Christian can backslide. That is why I
teach that only mature Christians should be present at a real
deliverance. The additional evil influence may push the weak \"over the
edge\", leading to a backslidden state, which then opens a definite path
for possession.
Now For The Good stuff!
Remember
God is spirit and you are a spirit. This is the real you. Just as a
radio is designed to tune in radio waves, whether good or bad, we are
designed to tune in the spirit realm, whether good or bad. The main
thing to know right now is that it is up to us to \"tune the right
station in\".
Worship
Since we are spirit creatures, if we really love God, we will desire to
sense His presence, the Holy Spirit. Begin NOW to praise and worship
God. Worshipping God is expressing our love to Him. We should be able
to do this privately and publicly, and not just when we go to church.
Praise could be another word for worship. There are three levels of
praise:
I - Praising God Just For Who He Is
II - Praising God For What He Has Done
III - Praising God For What He Will Do
♥Express Your love To God
Being a Christian involves having a love relationship with God. One of
the greatest impressions I ever had early in my Christian life was when
I went to a youth rally for the first time. The altar call was given
and people came forward. I simply observed at first. I saw a young man
worshiping God, hands lifted up, tears streaming down his face, and he
was saying out loud \"I love You Jesus!\" I had a gut feeling that this
is the way it is suppose to be. Not reading prayers or reciting them
from memory, but spontaneously worshiping God with a heart of love.
Do it NOW. Tell God you love Him. Lift your hands, feel love towards
God. Sing to God (it does not matter whether you think you can sing or
not, or you know for a fact that you can\'t carry a tune), - He loves to
hear your voice in praise.
♥Learn To Love The Bible
The Bible is the Word of God. It is all the instruction that we need
for daily living. Unlike ethics, religions, history, the sciences, It
does not change. God cannot change His Word.
In the Bible there is plenty of adventure, love stories, history,
guidance, comfort, and so on. Ask a Bible believing born again minister
to help you (Do not trust anyone or any group that supplants the Bible
and/ or lifts itself up rather than Jesus.).
If you have trouble understanding a passage, ask God directly to help
you. If you think some things are boring, read something else in it or
ask God to help you. If you come across a genealogy, either skip it for
now, or just skim over the names without trying to pronounce them.

Anyone in the world
Why You Should Not Commit Suicide by Pete Macinta
This information is taken from ... http://petemacinta.bravehost.com/sprv.html where you can find the entire text, more information, and related subjects.
\"
Hereby perceive we the love of God,
because he laid down his life for us:
\" 1 Jn 3:16
Indeed God loves you with an
everlasting, powerful love. Committing . . .
| 1 | Suicide Denies God\'s Love To
Us |
You may say or wonder for various reasons if God does love you. One reason
might be is that you may have had many terrible things done to you or just
happen to you. Our enemy satan (yes, I enjoy spelling it with a small \"s\"), will
often take the negative things in our lives and try to put the blame on God for
them happening to us. Hence, we tend to think that God does not care and may
even hate us. Yet the verse noted above indicates that this is not so. Try
putting the blame on satan when bad things happen to you.
Another problem you may face is that you feel that you have made a mess of
your life and / or you feel that you have committed too many sins for God to
love you or at least even care about you. The Word of God is very clear that no
matter how much of a failure we may be or whatever sins we have committed, God
still loves us and wants us to commit our lives to Him. These two things, I had
made a mess of my life and I felt that that I had committed too many sins,
brought me to the point of suicide one night in December of 1969- I had been a
failure at school, was turned down by colleges, and had been a satanist in the
past.
At the end of this page, I will list a link to my personal testimony and a
link to my page on forgiveness. Suffice it to say for now that the Blood of
Jesus Christ will cleanse us from all our sins and the crown of thorns crushed
upon His blessed head turns our failures into victories.
By the way, if you feel that you are ugly, hapless, stupid, etc., and are
acquainted with people that say you are these things, realize that...
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN GOD\'S EYES | 2 | Suicide Denies The Value Ascribed To Us By
God |
\" How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how
great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than
the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.\"- Psalm 139:17& 18 This is one of many verses that indicate that God loves you immensely and
places great value upon you. Though you may feel like a failure, or that your
situation is hopeless, if you would TURN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE OVER TO GOD and
let Him work through you, you will see that God is able to mold you into someone
you thought you could never be. Again, in my tractate on forgiveness you will
see that God can take some people you and I might think are worthless and change
them for the good!
NO HUMAN BEING IS TRASH IN HIS EYES! Each of us has a worthwhile
purpose in the eyes of God. It used to be in society that whatever Dad was, that
what his sons would be. Your heavenly Father wants you to be His son /daughter -
now. You might not know who your earthly father is, but you can know the
heavenly Father in a personal way, making Him truly your Father.
| 3 | Suicide Denies The Purpose God Has Assigned For Your
Life |
You may wonder...Purpose? What purpose could I possibly have? My friend,
satan would like for you to feel that way. However, you can know and realize
your true purpose by asking Christ into your life. What will happen will be the
peace of God will come upon you and God will gradually lead you as to what you
will do. Most likely you will begin to praise and thank Him, then feel led to
read His Word. You may think to yourself at this point \"what good will that
do?\", but if you follow through with those simple steps, you will eventually be
able to hear what God wants to say to you and you will eventually be guided by
His wonderful Holy Spirit.
How can I say this? I myself was transferred from this realm of death to
glorious life by the power of Jesus Christ when I was 17 years old. As a younger
child, I had a small juvenile police record. One particular arrest was something
terribly embarrassing and I had felt that I had greatly shamed and disappointed
my parents. I was so embarrassed that I did not want to eat with my family for
about a whole year. I sat in front of the TV set and ate my meals. The arresting
detective at that time said \"keep him away from other kids\". That, I guess was,
on his part the best advice he could give, but, looking back, I would recommend
to modify that advice, which I will mention on the page for those who know of
someone who may commit suicide. Later, as a senior in high school I found myself
rejected by 3 colleges, had a history of rotten grades, was on the road to
nowhere, and was absolute failure. Throw in some girlfriend trouble. As a
result, I tried twice in December 1969 to \"end it all\". BUT on January 25, 1970,
I accepted Christ as my Saviour, and for 3 or 4 weeks it just did not bother me
about what I was supposed to do after HS. Then, in or near mid February, God
called me to the Gospel ministry.
If you accept Christ as your Saviour, you may or may not be called to the
same path I was, but you will be called to serve God in some manner, and when
you obey, you will feel great about it!
To find out what God wants you to do, become \"Born Again\" by asking Christ to
forgive you of your sins and asking Christ into your heart. Next, read His
written will, the Word of God, and start to obey it by letting Jesus live
through you. Realize that God will forgive you when you \"mess up\" and you ask
Him to forgive you. As you gain strength from His Word, start serving Him. I
still remember holding a sign with words on it for children to sing when I was
saved (born again) for only a few months. It was something very simple, but at
least I was doing something.
As you obey His written will, and serve God anyway you can, His SPECIFIC WILL
will be revealed to you.
And
remember, you ARE NEEDED!!! Your family needs you!!! or /and .
. . Your friends need you or /and . . . The body of Christ needs
you or /and . . . Society needs you to be a Christian and be the salt
of the earth. NOTE: All the above are needs. Satan doesn\'t need you,
he just WANTS you - in hell!

| 4 | Suicide Denies The Hope Afforded To You While You Are Still Alive
|
Your sins can be forgiven and God can heal you physically and mentally.
There is nothing that God cannot do!
Once you die all hope ceases!
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment: - Heb. 9:27 Even the gloomiest book of the Bible, Ecclesiastes, towards the end shows
that there is more hope for the living than the dead! Ecc. 9:4! Consider this:
there have been people worse off than you and they decided to live - and things
turned out better for them! I think it was Chuck Colson who popularized the
phrase, \"This, too, shall pass You can be forgiven! My friend, upon the Word of God,
whatever you have done - child molestation, murder, drug selling, - WHATEVER -
YOU CAN BE FORGIVEN! Our gracious Father in heaven loves you immensely. However,
He wants to rid you of your sin. We all sin because of our sin nature which we
received at birth.
You CAN BE HEALED OF ANY DREADED DIASESE YOU MAY HAVE!- AIDs, cancer, whatever, MAY NOT be a death sentence for you. Jesus is
the great physician. Isa. 53 and many other passages clearly indicate that God
still heals today! There is always always always hope while you are still
breathing!
Even if one is like a vegetable there is hope. If you have a friend or loved
one in a vegetative state, do not give up! Read the Word of God to them. Never
mind when the medical profession says that they cannot hear you - read! Pray!
Worship! Sing gently to them! Never give up! I am of the very strong opinion
that as long as one has breath there is hope, for, after all, God can take
someone at anytime. If He chooses to keep someone breathing then I feel that
there is hope!
NO MATTER WHAT PROBLEM YOU FACE, THERE IS HOPE! God has power to forgive and
turn lives completely around, to heal physically, spiritually, emotionally,
mentally, etc., to cleanse, to work great miracles - but we must trust and pray
without ceasing!
| 5 | Suicide Denies You Anymore Chances To . .
. | Set Things Right Do Things Right Get Right
CAUTION! The Bible makes it very clear that THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE AFTER
DEATH! (See Heb. 9:27). One reason why you or someone you care for is
considering suicide is because we have an enemy that wishes to destroy our lives
and deprive us of Life Eternal. That enemy is satan. He works, in my opinion,
overtime to get people into depressions or hem them up in situations where they
feel that there is no hope whatsoever, and encourages them to think that there
is no way out except for death. Here is his mode of attack: he ensnares us in
some type of sin, causes us to feel worthless, guilty, confused, etc., then
oppresses us, driving us to the point where we despair and do not trust God.
Finally thoughts of suicide to \"end it all\" come into mind, and he finally
drives some to the edge, sealing their fate. Again, understand clearly that the
Bible is very clear that our fate is sealed upon death and cannot be reversed.
There is no second chance upon and after physical death. Your fate is SEALED AT
DEATH, NOT BEFORE death. YOU with God\'s help can change things NOW. Do not place
your hope in the non-Biblical false idea of reincarnation. The Bible clearly
points out that there is no such thing as reincarnation - WE HAVE NO RESET
BUTTON!
Understand that while we are alive, there are many chances! With God\'s help,
we make things right and do things right. Imagine if you can undo all that you
have done wrong. Well, we know we cannot undo all of it, but, as noted above,
God does forgive. That monkey wrench that satan has thrown into your life, God
wants it to be used as tool in your hands!
AND THAT IS AN AMAZING ABOUT THE POWER OF GOD! He can take something totally
messed up and turn it into something good. Some cases in point:-at least two
great men of the Bible committed murder, but upon repentance and commitment to
God, God used these men and their situations for His honor and glory. Who were
these two men - Moses (Exo. 2:12) and David (2 Sam. 11 & 12)! David\'s case
seems the messiest to me so let me share with you all the terrible things this
man did. From the passage just mentioned, here is a list of David\'s sins at that
time:
1. He did not do his job. He did not go out to battle when he was
supposed to. | 2. He looked upon the nakedness of another woman other than his wife.
| | 3. He lusted after her, his neighbor\'s wife. | | 4. He had sex with her. | | 5. He attempted to cover the sin up. | | 6. He got her husband drunk. | | 7. He purposely had her husband killed in battle. | 8. He enlisted someone else\'s help to have her husband killed.
|
Nasty guy, no? Yet, when he with tears repented before God, God did forgive
him, and, though there were problems that resulted from these things, God used
King David in many mighty and wonderful ways!
\"But,\" you may say, \"these are Bible people. They were Holy people!\" The
Bible makes it clear that these were people like you and I! Let us then truly
repent, like David.
| 6 | Suicide Denies You Of The Chance To Escape Hell, or, At The
Least, A Very Uncertain
Fate |
Before posting this page, I ran a search on similar sites. Very few addressed
this point and one poor mom feels you can still make it to heaven. A very
dangerous premise! I feel sorry for her, but the Word of God is the Word of
God...
Eternal damnation surely awaits with
everlasting shame and contempt for those that do not personally know
Jesus!
Dan. 12:1-2 and many other passages.
Sometime ago, in an effort to reduce drunk driving, there was a TV PSA that
showed a man in a hospital in almost a full body cast, with tubing and wires
attached to him. The dialogue went something like this: \"George here and his
friend Frank went out to have a good time and got drunk. They had a bad car
accident. Frank died. Frank was the lucky one.\"---
W h a t ! ? ! ? ! Unless Frank got saved, gave his
heart to Jesus, FRANK IS IN HELL!
Objection 1- One may say, \"I cannot believe in a God that would send
someone to hell.\" Friend, the reason why people do go to hell is because they
have rejected the LOVE of God through His Son, Jesus. This decision to reject
Christ (which can be reversed) is made when we refuse Christ as Savior, not
permitting Him to save us from our sin and sin nature. It is as if we had a
terminal illness that could be cured but we told the doctor \"no\", even if the
treatment was paid for! If one spends eternity in hell, the responsibility lies
solely upon that person.
Objection 2- One may also say, \"Well if I go to hell, at least I will
have plenty of friends down there.\" Maybe so, but the Bible is very clear that
you will enjoy no one\'s company nor will you be capable of enjoying anything.
Objection 3- - And here is another: \"There is no such thing as hell.
This current life is hell.\" Frankly though, if you honestly look at it, life
here is a taste of both heaven and hell. There is a hell, for Jesus clearly
speaks of it as a place of torments and surely a place to shun. Jesus is the
only way to heaven (Jo. 14:6). Faith in a religion will not get you to Paradise.
Only Jesus can get you there.
What about a Christian? Some would say that a Christian would never
commit suicide - yet Christians commit other sins. Some equate suicide as, or
part of, the unpardonable sin. However, the Word of God indicates that the
unpardonable sin is something else. It may eventually include suicide, but the
thought that suicide itself is the unpardonable sin is not supported by the
Bible.
Someone may point out by logic that suicide is a sin and if one commits
suicide, they cannot repent. First of all, in my opinion, we have to leave room
for both the frailty of the human mind and the mercy of God. We also need to
remember that we are not saved by works, but by grace, hence, one act of sin
does not keep us out of heaven, but a lifestyle of sin indicates we are not
ready to meet the Savior and have lost our salvation.
In the end, especially in cases such as this, God decides who goes to heaven
and who goes to hell, not you or I.
Hence, for the Christian, there is a very uncertain fate. I would not wish to
gamble on my placement in eternity by committing suicide. If you know Christ as
your Savior please realize that satan is trying destroy you, and the Savior is
right there, waiting to restore you!
| 7 | Suicide Denies The Sovereignty of
God |
That may be the catch for you. You may be blaming God for permitting you to
be in the position you are currently in. However, many times our trouble is our
own doing, not God\'s. God has the exact time, place, and manner for all of us to
die (Psalm 31:15), and for us to commit suicide is an indication of a lack of
trust in Him.
If you feel that the trouble is not your own doing, or you just feel
impending doom, you are most likely under satanic attack. Commit your life to
Christ now, plead the blood of Jesus, ask God to help you to praise Him, and
begin to do so whether you feel like it or not.
The sovereignty of God may be a problem for you because you wish to be in
control of your destiny. Do not be fooled! Satan is controlling you whether you
realize it or not!
| 8 | Suicide Denies God\'s Chance To Perform His Glory In Your
Life |
Above, we mentioned that God has a purpose for your life and committing
suicide denies that purpose. As we obey God\'s purposes for our life, His
blessings become more evident as time goes on. You may think that you have made
a big mess of things. Keep in mind that . . .
God
loves to turn messes into blesses.
Do not kill yourself, for God has a time and place for each one to die (Psa.
31:15). And, it is far better to die as a child of God.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his
saints - Psa. 116:15
To Peter . . . John 21:18-19
About the great prophet, Elisha . . .2
Kings 13:14 God, as we trust Him, will deliver us from each trial in His own time and in
His own way. We just need to trust Him fully.
You may be going through a very difficult struggle right now. I know I did
before I came to Christ. Yet, even in struggle, and even in failure, God can,
and wants to, make victory blossom in your life.
In the New Testament, one of the major Greek words for trial is thilipsis.
The raw rendering of thilipsis is...\"a narrow constricting path.\" That describes
all problems. But think of it in the following manner...
Consider the caterpillar that will become a butterfly. As a caterpillar it is
quite lowly and probably has no idea what is in store for it. Eventually it
climbs a tree and wraps itself into a cocoon. After some time, it must emerge
from that cocoon. It must emerge through a very small hole compared to its\'
body. A thilipsis we can say. So the new creature struggles and struggles until
it finally emerges from the cocoon- as a very lovely butterfly.
Now, let us say for the moment, you felt sorry for that new creature. You
wanted to help it out. You get a knife or razor blade and cautiously make the
opening bigger. What would happen? The creature may come out quicker, but it is
not formed correctly. The wings are not as sleek and beautiful. Once the
butterfly is out, you may find that it is unable to fly. It needed that
thilipsis, that trial, to make it very beautiful. And so it is with you, and
God, as you put your faith and reliance in Him, will see you through and make
something beautiful out of your life!
But you may say, \"I am tired of the struggle\". You are in good company, for
even Elijah got \"burned out\" and just wanted to die! See 1 Kings 19:4. God will
give you the strength to rely upon Him and face life here in this world. One way
is to worship Him.
But, again, a reminder - all of us need to commit completely to Him. We all
need to accept Jesus into our hearts and let Jesus live through us. Then He
shall work His glory through us. As this is done, it will be seen that you
definitely have PURPOSE. Trust Jesus now to guide and direct you.
If you are a senior citizen and are thinking about euthanasia, realize
instead that as long as you have breath in this present world you have purpose
in this present world.

Anyone in the world
There has been a lot of debate lately about global warming,
specifically whether or not the climate is being affected by human
influence. There seems to be no debate that the climate is getting
warmer. In looking at this issue (and any other big issue, for that
matter), it is helpful to keep things in perspective (Biblical
perspective, that is!)
First of all, keep in mind that in recent history (by evolutionary standards) the earth was in the
middle of an Ice Age. Even evolutionary scientists believe this was
only about 10,000 years ago. During this time, most of North America and Northern Europe
was covered by huge sheets of ice, a mile deep in some places.
Something caused the Ice Age, and something else caused it to end...
starting the melting process. These huge ice sheets slowly melted
back, raising the ocean levels, carving valleys and lake beds, and
leaving a trail of boulders on the tops of mountains.
The glaciers are still melting today, and the ocean levels are still
rising. We only started to study climate, weather, etc, in the recent
past. We are still observing the end of this Ice Age today, and many
people are alarmed because they see these effects and don\'t keep it in
perspective. It is like coming in during the last 5 minutes of a 2 hour
movie and trying to draw conclusions about what is happening.
Just recently, there was an article about an archaeological discovery
at the bottom of the English channel. There was remnants of a \"Stone
Age\" civilization, well preserved in water. The article described how
8,000 years ago, the UK and Europe were connected by a land bridge. As
the glaciers melted back, the ocean levels rose and the low spots
filled in with water, separating the UK from Europe. The article
talked about how humans had to move to \"higher ground\" to avoid the
rising waters.
Now I\'ll ask some important questions:
- Did the \"Stone Age\" people drive
SUVs? - Did they fly around in corporate jets?
- Did they purchase
\"carbon credits\"? - Did they use approved freon in their Air Conditioning?
Something caused the earth to cool and create the Ice Age. Something
caused the earth to warm again so that all of that ice melted. And
during the middle ages, there was another \"mini\" Ice Age... but today
we see rising temperatures once again.
Biblical creationists have created mathematical models that show that
the Ice Age could be explained as the aftermath of Noah\'s flood. The
geological events such as continental and undersea volcanoes that occurred on a global scale to cause the flood to come and
then recede would have set up the conditions for massive amounts of
precipitation to fall on the continents, and a decrease in
temperature. As the skies cleared of the volcanic sediment, the earth
would have warmed again, causing the ice sheets to melt and raising the
ocean levels.
It is fair to say that all of these events occurred without the \"help\"
of mankind. Today we see temperatures rising, and it is tempting to
blame it on our progress. Perhaps our modern technologies are having
some additional impact on the climate... but it is hard to imagine that
we are the sole cause AND that we could do anything about it even if we
wanted to.
Non-believers are often alarmed by the news of global warming. Those
who seek to make it a political issue are often alarmists, threatening
that our very existence depends on taking immediate action. We
shouldn\'t be surprised that non-believers feel this way as they do not
have the word of God to anchor their world view on.
Believers can take comfort that God is in control. No matter what we
do, God will maintain the balance of our earth until the appointed time
when Christ returns. In Genesis 8:22, we are given this promise:
22 \"As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.\"
So, the next time someone tells you that we are causing global warming,
ask them whether the Stone Age people of 8,000 years ago drove SUVs as they tried to escape the rising sea levels?
And the next time you hear that we must take immediate action or we
will destroy the planet, remind them of God\'s promise to sustain this
earth until the appointed time of Christ\'s return.
We should not be so arrogant as to think we can change God\'s plan!

Anyone in the world Violent
crime in the United States rose by 1.3 percent last year, according to
varied news reports on a statement released June 4, 2007, by the
country\'s Federal Bureau of Investigation.
1.3 percent -- that\'s not so bad -- that is what some people may be thinking.
Well, the report did say 2006 was the second year in a row
for an increase. Violent crime increased by 2.3 percent in 2005.
While violent crime continued its increase, other crimes, like property
crimes decreased by 2.9 percent. So the picture isn\'t too bleak, is it?
I\'m am sure this is what satan* would have us to think.
Yet Jesus was quite plain about the times we would be in, stating in
Matthew 24 verse 12, \"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of
many shall wax cold.\"
A one or two percent increase in violent crime may not
seem so bad however it is good to remember that \"A little leaven
leaveneth the whole lump.\" In other words, if left unchecked, it will
get worse. However, many do not think so or perhaps the situation just
does not bother. To me, that\'s another reason to be concerned.
What can we do about it. Pray, of course. However, if we
do not know Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we might find
ourselves actually part of the problem.
If Christ is our Savior, then we are His disciples whom He
described as the \"salt of the earth\" in Matthew 5:13. One of the many
uses of salt is that of a preservative. If saved from sin, we do not
contribute to iniquity and should cry out about it under the direction
of the Holy Spirit, being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit to do
what we can to curb it. We should also walk close to the Lord so we do
not lose any of His positive affect on the world.
If we are not saved, in various ways we do add to the problem of iniquity.
Though we may never fall victim to a violent crime or any
crime, unless we let Christ remove our iniquity our fate is sealed in
that the wages of sin are death and we will awake at the resurrection
to eternal damnation.
Sure, people pick on real Christians. Christ was
persecuted and killed, so a disciple should expect no less. However,
though a child of God meets trouble in this world, if they stick with
Christ they will be raised to eternal life.
If you have not made Christ your personal Savior,
dedicating everything to Him, please turn to Him now. He\'ll be back one
day and rule as King of the earth.
God bless,
Pete Macinta
* I know names are to be capitalized. I do not capitalize \"satan\" in
most cases because I used to worship him. In those days I would never
capitalize \"God\" unless I had to in school. Now, Christ has turned the
tables.

Anyone in the world Have you ever walked right by a close friend or family member in the mall or some other public place and not even noticed them? I sure have. It can be very embarrassing. Once, when I became aware that this had happened to me, I felt that the Lord showed me the reason that I didn\'t notice them was because of my mindset. I had my mind set on something else so intently that I didn’t even see a close friend or relative walk right by me in broad daylight. As a result, I felt that the Lord showed me that is exactly what happened about two thousand years ago, when Jesus came to the world and was only noticed as the Messiah-Creator by a few Jews and Gentiles, because they had their minds so intently set on their own agendas.
Isn’t that a frightening thought? Imagine! We can get so wrapped up in the things we\'re doing “for God”, when Christ, the Living Word of God comes to us; we don\'t recognize him, because we\'re just too busy. Remember the Mary and Martha story in the Bible? Jesus told Martha that she was too busy, and that Mary had chosen the better thing-to just be at his feet, look at him and learn to SEE him. Could this be what Jesus meant when he said that if we want to be his disciples, we must learn to deny ourselves, take up our crosses and follow him?
I believe the Holy Spirit is saying to the church, \"You\'re too busy!\" And if you continue in your “busy-ness”, you\'re going to miss the next move of my Spirit.\" You\'ll walk right by me and never even see me. You’ll never even know that I’m there. What a tragedy!
Would you read the following statement to yourself: Opportunity is N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Ok, now let\'s look at it again: Opportunity is N.O.W.H.E.R.E. What did you see? Did you see “Opportunity is N.O.W.H.E.R.E.”? Or did you see “Opportunity is N.O.W.H.E.R.E.”? Notice the difference? What you see is all about what you have your mind set on. Romans 12: 1-3 says it like this, \"I beseech you therefore brothers by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice wholly and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you can prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.\" What do you see now? I believe that the Lord is saying, \"Be still and know (see) that I am God!\" My friend, would you just take a few minutes to thank and praise God for his love for you? And, if you need to repent from being too busy, would you tell him that and ask him to help you learn to be like Martha in the Bible and just learn to be at Jesus’ feet? Jesus said it this way, “My house will be called a House of Prayer”. Is your “house” a house of prayer or a house of busy-ness? Shalom! |

Anyone in the world This past Sunday, in 400 congregations in 49 states, Charles Darwin’s birthday was celebrated during worship service. The idea was to show that faith and science do not have to be in conflict… that one can be a Christian and still believe in evolution. In some of our local churches here in Raleigh, Biology professors were invited in to proclaim the “truth” of evolution and to show that it is not incompatible with faith.
Was Evolution Sunday celebrated at your church? How about your neighbor\'s church? Just how did “Evolution Sunday” make it on the church calendar, anyway?
It all started about two years ago. Professor Zimmerman of the University of Wisconsin wrote to clergy nationwide encouraging them to sign a letter which rejected the Genesis account of creation as literal history. Over 10,000 clergy responded by signing the letter. Two years later this idea \"evolved\" into an opportunity to lure believers into thinking that the two ideas are compatible.
To some, the whole creation / evolution debate is a side-issue; a distraction. But to many, this is the one of the key inhibitors to receiving Christ . If the Bible cannot be trusted in terms of “Who we are?” and “How we got here?”, then what parts of the Bible can be trusted? If we didn’t start with a perfect world that fell into sin due to man’s rebellion, then why do we need a Savior to redeem us from our sins? Visit any high school or college campus and ask the average student if they are a Christian. If not, ask why? You will quickly see that in many cases the theory of evolution is a direct challenge in their minds to the message of Christianity. Evolutionary teaching permeates our schools, museums, television, and movies. To many, it is a undisputable fact. The problem is that many Christians, instead of equipping themselves to answer these questions effectively, sweep the problem under the rug, try to blend the two messages, or downplay the importance of the issue. However, the Bible instructs us to “ always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have .” (1 Peter 3:15). For too long, Christians have not had an adequate answer to the challenges being presented. At Kingdom Education Online, we believe that there is no room for the compromise of God’s word, and that there are good answers to these issues. We have an excellent course which is designed to help you “be prepared to give an answer” to the unbeliever (or maybe to yourself!). This course effectively equips Christians to challenge those who challenge God’s word. It will build your faith in God’s word, and help you to show the truth to others who may be deceived. While originally designed as a home-school course, it can also be used by adults to make them a better witness of the truth of God’s word. We invite you to enroll in this course. It will help you to firm up your faith. It will help you to be an effective witness to unbelievers. This course also makes a great adult Bible study. Perhaps God is calling you to equip your church by leading a group study using this course! (Special discounts apply for groups, just ask). This course is moderated by the course author, who is on call to answer questions as they may arise... so you are not on your own! In addition, you have the opportunity to collaborate and share witnessing experiences with other students who are enrolled in the course, making it a truly interactive journey. Kingdom Education Online is offering a “Happy Birthday Darwin” special! The first 100 students who enroll in the course will receive a beautifully illustrated, hardback book entitled “Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation”… absolutely free! This book contains over 200 beautifully illustrated pages honoring God’s creation and poking a few holes in man’s theory of Evolution. This is a limited time offer… please enroll today to ensure you get your free book! (Note: the free book does not apply to group enrollments)

Anyone in the world
Greetings,
After being around for over a half-century (wow!) I have seen a lot of changes.
Eggs: 1958 - They are good for you. 1970\'s - The have cholesterol. Stay away! Today - They are actually good for you, but just watch how many you eat.
Parents: 1950\'s - Do spank your kids. Today - Don\'t spank your kids.
Maryland Public Education: Closed classrooms before 1970, open
classroom after that year. Now the education wizards have decided open
classrooms were a very poor idea.
One more - In the late 60\'s, while I was in high school, teachers
warned of a pending ice age beginning 2015! Global warming is trumpeted
today. After February 2006 here in Cambridge, MD, I tend to think an
ice age is more probable!
Even before I got out of the teenage years I realized there was a great
discrepancy among individuals and entities on a variety of issues.
I remember being on a date before I accepted Christ, and wondering if I should behave by my morals or those of my girlfriend.
After accepting Christ and attending church, I learned, and believed,
that the Bible is The Word of God. It was unchangeable and without
error.
As a result, when dating as a Christian, it most certainly did not
matter what I thought was right or what a girlfriend thought was right.
God\'s Word was the deciding factor.
And now, fifty-four years young, I find the Bible a great source of comfort in the midst of a world full of changes.
Though a pastor of a church, I decline drawing much of salary from our small congregation. So, I had secular work on the side.
From April 2003 until December 2006 I was a reporter for a local
newspaper (owned by Independent Newspapers Incorporate). During my
tenure with paper, writing rules changed, self-management rules change,
editing rules changed. An article that looked good to one editor was
criticized by another, and so on.
Ah, but the Word of God is solid. It does not change. It has a
positive, life changing affect for those who embrace it and its Author.
I hope everyone who reads this post does know Jesus Christ in a
personal way, and has committed their life to Him. But, if you haven\'t,
I encourage you to make that commitment.
Christ does not change. The Word does not change. What comfort in these times!
God bless,
Pete Macinta
